Carmichael + Baxter Groundworks were extremely proud to contribute to this award-winning project, delivered in collaboration with our client, Space St Andrews, which has been named Student Accommodation of the Year at the 2026 Scottish Property Awards.

This recognition reflects the vision, collaboration, and dedication behind the transformation of the former Kilrymont High School into a vibrant, purpose-built student community in St Andrews.

Blending heritage with contemporary design, the development provides high-quality studios and apartments, alongside thoughtfully designed study, wellness, and social spaces – all created to enhance the student experience.

Our Team was tasked with delivering a full and comprehensive groundworks package encompassing site clearance and preparation, bulk earthworks, drainage and utilities installation, foundations, concrete floors, substructure and super structure blockwork including super structure facing brick façade, all external works including both soft and hard landscaping to support the overall development.
